Fab Valley Homestay

The outdoor dining area and grounds were lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. Helped us arrange a great driver from Cochin to Munnar. Lovely welcome with chai and a banana leaf wrapped cake. The food was tasty and it was very convenient to eat on site since the homestay was far from other restaurants Good fans (fyi, no air con) Plentiful hot water (through spigot only not shower head)

Our room, bed and ourselves (at night) were plagued with large ants, small flying insects (possibly termites or flying ants) and crickets. We found it difficult to sleep or even hang out in the room but decided not to say anything at the time since we did not want chemicals sprayed in the room while we were there. The insects were not in swarms but still plentiful and consistent. We did not bring any open food into the room and the insects were just there from the get go. We noticed the ants when we checked in but didn’t realize the extent of the issue until that night. We left a day early because of this issue but paid for our full stay. I hope the homestay took advantage of that time to deal with the ants etc. for the record they said the infestation has never been mentioned by guests before us. This is a small (2 rooms and a treehouse) homestay and there was no other rooms to switch to. Other comments — food quantity varied. Portions can be small but if you asked, more food would be provided. Choices are veg or non veg Felt that while the photo was representative of the room, the room itself was not as pleasant as pictured. Location is 30-60 minutes from most Munnar area activities. Be prepared to hire a car and driver or have access to a motor bike. Wi-Fi was a bit wobbly but that is not uncommon in many areas of India

Amazing experience..Surrounded by greenery...Rooms are clean ... food is superb...The Aunty makes delicious food n that to also according to our requirements...the people are very friendly n helpful..it's located little inside but totally worth it .. for pet lovers they also have lovely cat (Mitoo)..

Mr. Sumith and his family are such wonderful and loving people. They took very good care of us and were always there to help us with whatever we needed. Our car had met with an accident and Mr. Sumith took it upon himself to help us fix it before we drove back home. Definitely recommend this place for a quiet and calm getaway.

Nice calm pleasant place, overall very good stay for peace. Uncle and aunt were very good ,and the service was very good, nice breakfast we enjoyed a lot.

Cleanliness. Rooms having insects, leeches etc. crammed room. Communication with host is very difficult. Even simple butter, bread toast etc . Is difficult to get.

The food, host, parking, treehouse, everything was so good, so lucky to witness this place and living in fab homestay is the best part of our kerala trip, thanks to the host and their son for looking after us in each and every way possible.

only language is the barrier, rest everything is on top.
