All was clean, amazing view, wonderful owners

We've been to some lovely places but this is a very special place and a highpoint of our trip, in figurative and literal terms! The living space and bathroom are attractive, offering everything needed for an enjoyable stay. On top of this I can't believe there are any other hosts who have put so much thought into providing extra touches of all kinds to make their guests feel welcome. Then on top of that (again, literally) is the simply amazing rooftop space! With the weather we had it was tempting never to come down after breakfast and the meal we had up there from the local Indonesian restaurant was very special indeed. We also loved morning coffee on the little balcony and the location, nearby the city centre but peacefully away from the tourist bustle. The only thing we regret is that we didn't book for much longer! It was also a pleasure to meet Klass, a friendly and warmly open person who did everything to help us have a great stay.

We really can't think of anything to put here. The only bit we didn't like was having to go at the end of our visit!

Beautiful, clean, cozy and welcoming. Really could not imagine a nicer place to stay. Great location, easy to walk or catch a bus in. Fabulous hosts with amazing generous breakfast. Very well thought out with every need being met.

Really can’t think of anything. I suppose if someone had trouble with stairs it could be a problem, although stairs are sturdy with good rails and lighting.

The ambience, the breakfasts, the hosts, the facilities - all were excellent.

It is very obvious that the owners take great care and attention to details, so that nothing is missing and the guest feel welcome and confortable. The location is ideal for those who want to be close to the city center but in a less touristic spot. It is also very close to the campus. The neighbourhood is very nice and quiet. There are nice places to have breakfast or a meal. The rooftop is a very nice touch, one just have to get lucky with the weather. You can rent a bike, which comes cheaper than in a bike shop or bike sharing programs.

the room and the terrace are super nice, comfy and everything you need there. we also rented bikes from the owners which are awesome people

the bathroom is outside the room and the house is shared with the owners and their daughter. it was a bit strange for us as we didn’t expected this

Klaas and Renee are well-travelled and this shows in the great attention they have paid to ensuring that guests have everything they could possibly need. Really, you have your own 'suite', with your own bedroom, lovely big shower room, a separate kitchenette, and also a real bonus is the rooftop terrace with views over the canal. If we'd had time or wanted to do different things we could have hired their kayak, motor launch or bikes, all at very reasonable cost. Although a bus ride from the centre of Utrecht (not at all a problem for us: we prefer to stay outside the centre), there's a really lovely little shopping area about 7 or 8 minutes walk away, with a wonderful Indonesian restaurant (Ina's Corner). Best meal out we've had in years - honestly! Klaas and Renee area great hosts. We'd go back any time and have no hesitation in saying "STAY HERE - you'll love it!" to anyone we knew heading to this area.
