Clean, good air con, spacious, cleaned daily, fresh breakfast, water bottles daily, good value for the price. 10 minute bike to central Ubud.

I’m a light sleeper so the animal noises did keep me awake (but I knew there would be roosters before I booked so thats on me). The shared kitchen is a quite messy and the outdoor shower has a mouldy smell.

QUIET LOCATION OUTSIDE THE CENTER, BUT CLOSE TO GETTING OUT VERY VERY VERY FRIENDLY AND FRIENDLY TEAM SMALL SUPERMARKET AND EXCELLENT RESTAURANT VERY CLOSE INCREDIBLE VALUE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING :D

Hidden gem in Penestanan away from the hubbub of central Ubud, set in a traditional Balinese multi family compound. Very welcoming, affordable homestay with a hard working, generous family. Quiet... but expect to hear roosters crowing at dawn! No howling dogs. Huge, comfortable beds. Hot shower. Daily cleaning if required. Varied breakfast and always fresh fruit, which was much appreciated. Plentiful bottled water on hand. A/C available but cross breezes cooled the air naturally. Mosquito nets over the beds were a plus however I saw very few even though tend to be a magnet for them. Everything a visitor might need within walking distance. Close to a lovely walk among the rice fields. So happy to have found Cucu House and its kind owners.

Excellent accomodation with nice outdoor bathroom, very friendly staff, WiFi and cooling were perfect, the best thing was breakfast on the room terrase:-) which was free of extra charge and a bottle of water everyday for each person, fridge and a small kitchen for our 2 rooms, a lot of trees. it was very luxury stay for us

Village animal noises in the morning

this room was tucked away towards the back of the property, with an incredibly comfortable bed and even a desk. i had to get a little work done, so it was perfect for that. there was also a sweet momma cat who loved hanging out on the porch, and her company was really special to me. the view from the porch was serene.

three things: the shared kitchen was in bad condition - mold on the walls, no silverware, and the refrigerator looked like it hadn't been cleaned in two years. i didn't want to be in that room at all. there was also no available drinking water, and the property had chickens that were loud af. all of these were not enough to bother me greatly on such a short stay, but it would have deterred me from staying longer.
