Peace Home Sapa

It was a wonderful stay! The owners are just super nice people. They invited me to a dinner to meet some of their friends and let me try some of the food they did for themselves. So it's a really welcoming atmosphere. They offer everything like food, and tours at the homestay, but there is no pushing at all, which I find quite pleasant. The location is 30 min outside from Sa Pa, which is really nice, because in that way you can live in a small village in the middle of the nature. The mattresses are indeed quite hard, but you get used to it. And it's compensated by super cute dogs.

Peace Home is situated in a remote location so is perfect for people looking to be in the beautiful nature, there are scooters available to rent so would suit someone who drives as the only other way of getting around is by taxi/motorbike taxi. The nearest grocery store is around a 30min walk. Dung is a very nice accommodating host, she gave me the option of taking a lovely room after my first night in the dorm, she cares about keeping her guests happy. Dung also prepares tasty dishes for breakfast lunch and dinner. There is an option to have a herbal bath at the homestay which is a real treat especially on a cold evening:))

The homestay is really beautiful! Unfortunately the weather was not nice but the food was really good and the owner is lovely! The beds are really confortable and the shower has hot water!

It was a bit cold inside but i was really unlucky with the weather

- the view is amazing - nice place, good taste in decoration - easy organization for coming and outdoors activities

- friendly and communicative owners - beautiful nature around - clean rooms and common area

- extremely hard mattresses - I traveled SEA for 3,5 months and this place had by far the hardest mattresses I ever experienced; I got a different mattress upon request that didn’t really fit into the bed; when I was there in September I was told that new mattress have been ordered but haven’t arrived yet, so might be not a problem anymore - creaky floor and no soundproof walls - which is just the downside of staying in a wooden traditional house and not completely unexpected

Dung is a very nice and lovely person. She organised the food, taxi and daytrips. The room and garten are made with love and details. I would recommend peace home, if you want to escape the crowds.

We loved how quiet it was, we loved the little dogs that welcomed us every morning, the host was very helpful with anything we needed and made some amazing dishes as well

There was a building near us that made really loud announcements around 5-7pm every couple of nights but that was it

The host is really great. Makes great meals, one of the best we have had in Vietnam. You gey offers trips and hikes, but no pushing or persuading, you are left to do what you want. Scooter renting available, nice garden. Everything perfectly clean, nice room and comfortable bed (not soft, which was great for us). Friendly dogs included :)

Of course this is external cause, but good to know for others: We were unlucky to arrive during the season of rice fields burning (early September), so the smell of smoke was everywhere for almost 2 days until a rain cleaned the air. You also need to be prepared for walls not being sound-proof. In the bathroom it was not possible to close a small window, so some bugs would fly in during evenings. But these are such a minor things, it was a great stay
