The location Is perfect just 5 mins by walk to the Borobodur temple. The owners and incredibly nice and kind, they help you in all the way they can, going above and behind! I would definitely recommend this place

We had an amazing time with Ika and Yani at their homestay. They welcomed us wholeheartedly and made us feel right at home. We were able to borrow their bikes and had great bike tours thanks to their tips. Highlight at the end: Ika took us to see a tofu maker and explained the whole process. We feel very lucky to have visited that place that we would have definetly missed without Ika as our guide. The breakfast in the morning was also great with different local snacks each morning, fresh fruit and continental as well as local mains. Thank you for everything Ika and Yani!

The green surroundings and the wonderful hosts. All the attractions were nearby. The rooms were clean and breakfast was very very nice.

Ika and his wife were the most kind and generous. They took so much care of me, I felt like a member of the family, and they explained me so many things about the village and the culture. The house is strategically located very close to the Borobudur temple, you can walk there in 10 minutes and there are restaurants and shops around. The breakfast was amazing and you can ask to try also indonesian sweets. I visited also the tofu maker and the coconut sugar maker, I really recommend to do it while there if you are interested in learning more about this part of the culture. I hope I can come back! Ika and his wife are great hosts, really kind and helpful. The place has a wonderful garden, the room and the bathroom are clean and the position is perfect to go to the temple or to have lunch/dinner.

There's a mosque really close.. So you could hear the chantings early in the morning.

My time at Efata Homestay was magic. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and the bed was absolutely comfortable. If you want a place that feels safe and hospitable, look no further this is *that* place. You can easily spent a couple of nights here! The homestay owners are amazing: Yani cooks with love wonderful Indonesian and Western breakfasts. Besides that Ika gives you some very good tips on where to eat, what to do etc. Their genuine hospitality goes beyond meaning. Borobodur is really close by. Don't forget to book your ticket on-line. Thanks to Yani and Ika I had a wonderful and very special stay at their Homestay. Hopefully I will be back perhaps next May for Waisak..

If you want to spend time in Borobudur with local hospitality, wellcome to Efata Homestay! It can be a good idea to stay there for a few days and see not only Borobudur temple (don’t forget to buy a ticket online in advance), but also another temples, rice fields and a life of local people. The homestay is close to the main road, but in a quiet place. All what you need is on a walking distance - the temple, restaurants, shops etc. Owners can help you with everything what you need. Can't get a better location, it's just next to the Borobudur. Breakfast was delicious and the service was the best I've ever had. You can really tell that they care about their guests. Honestly couldn't understand how someone could give them less than a 10/10
