Fewo Schönau am Königssee

So many. Kitchen opens up to garden which opens up to meadows then mountain view of Höher Gull. 10 km to Berchtesgaden and 3 km to Königsee Schifffahrt. Lidl closeby and various Bäckerei. Very scenic and peaceful. One can sit on the Kitchen and look at the mountains the whole day.

Too many mountains to count. The area shutdown after 2000pm except few restaurants. Bus travel only if you don't have car. No other comments.

The apartment in reality looks way better than the photo’s. The view from the kitchen was spectacular, especially in the snowy winter. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was perfect, not far from the Könnigssee, the Jenner Bahn, ski area’s etc.

We have stayed at numerous Fewo’s in Germany. This is the first time we have had a Fewo owner this strict, expecting the guest to know ALL HER rules without giving you any instruction. Every owner we had before had their own set of rules which were slightly different, but they let the guests know what to do. Frau Menzel came to check out with us, which was basically an inspection to evaluate whether you’ve done correctly to her rules (which she expects everyone knows and does the same). We as guests should of course be considerate towards the owners by leaving no mess and tidying up the rooms, placing everything back to its place before leaving. We did exactly THAT as always, but we apparently didn’t luft the rooms ( since every other owner told us to close the windows); didn’t clean the table properly (there were cleaning marks left); didn’t take out the trash, because we were still figuring out where to throw out when she came, she expected us to know exactly where by ourselves, however sometimes there are collective trash containers and private containers, so we didn’t know. When she questioned me why the shed door was open, I had to explain myself hard to convince her that it was like that when we arrived ( she even said “ I don’t believe it” in German) She came in with no smile and spoke with a very dissatisfied tone which made me feel uncomfortable. Her daughter who came along was, on the contrary, very understanding and sweet, trying to explain to her mother that people wouldn’t know everything ( I understand a little bit German) and tried to ease the tention. To be honest I wasn’t happy with this the check out due to the owner’s attitude, it was not a right way to say goodbye. Furthermore some aspects to mention: 1. On the booking website it says the kitchen has a washing machine, but there wasn’t. Luckily it’s winter, but it would be inconvenient in the summer if you stay for a longer time. 2. Neat and clean with everything you need.

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are comfortable.

The bathroom does not provide slippers or shampoo. There are few types of seasonings in the kitchen.

It's a very good place. The landlord is very nice, and even though we arrived late, it was not difficult to check-in. We had breakfast in the courtyard in the morning and the view was beautiful. I recommend this place.

Rooms are very nice and owner is nice too. It's worth spending time with friends and family here.

This apartment was perfect for my family (2 adults and 2 kids) we enjoyed everything minute of our stay. The area is beautiful and the apartment is very close to the lake Königssee that was the main reason of our visit. The host responded fast to my messages and the apartment was incredibly clean. The view from the kitchen and backyard is breathtaking. We recommend this place 100%
