Jiufen Hui Ming Homestay

The owner is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The location very convenient and have the shortcut to go to jiufen old street. The water pressure of the shower was strong and got the water heater.

Overall ok just the shared bathroom not convenient

The owner is kind. I got a better room because there were few customers that day.

The water heater is not working well; it is cold. The place is quite old, and the bathtub leaks and is stained.

The building too old, kids feel not comfortable.

I love how comfy it is, things we need is there.

No heater, stairs going down, so when we bring heavy luggage is hard and the towel very small. They only accept cash, no card 😔 no spoon and fork.

Very nice and polite host, showed us where everything was and because it's cash only payment he let us go to the ATM and give him the cash a bit later as it was raining outside. It's a perfect location, close to all attractions in the area even though you have to walk up and downstairs. Free coffee, unlimited hot water supply etc.

The towels were a bit small, not perfect for showering. And we could hear people talking in the room next to ours. Not a big deal but it's something light sleepers and couples might need to be aware of. Warm water in the shower not very warm.

There’s a lot of space and an AC. The location is not too far from the main road but does require walking down a flight of stairs unless you take the bus down.

We originally booked the Japanese room and expected to stay on the original site, but instead, we were led outside, along a corridor, and across the street to another guesthouse. Inside, there are other rooms that you would share with other guests, but at the time, we were the only guests (thank God). Anyways, he gave us a room which was passable. The bathroom was not connected to the main room since it’s supposed to be shared among the other guests. The bathroom was also ok. It wasn’t until it was time to go to bed and my boyfriend suddenly found a centipede like insect crawling on him and then quickly scurrying away after he shook it off.
