Location, kitchen

Bathroom not clean, bed sheets not clean (not sure they were even changed after previous guests). Other guests were super loud and no one warned them Bed in our room was not big enough for 2 persons to be comfortable

The place is excellent and the guest responds

I have never stayed with a more hospitable and helpful person in my life. we recommend it to everyone! Will not be left alone in any situation!

Excellent location. Interesting set up, more like a bedroom with a lock in an apartment. We had our own bathroom. We were also welcome to use the main kitchen and the fridge. It was more like an air b and b. We thoroughly enjoyed it, felt very welcome and the host was always available to answer any questions. We would definitely book again.

Had to use phone to get initial access details but then given keys to come and go at will.

The location close to the bull fighting arena, straightforward route to the promenade and the beach. And the good stuff ends there.

Where do I even start!? The room we had was a part of an apartment that has obviously been considered for renting. The doors of the room were some kind of portal doors, facing the entrance corridor to the apartment. Movement from the corridor and from within our room turned on automatic lights, which lit our room at night, even if the hosts had tried to put an improvised curtain that was supposed to block the light. The curtain is not visible on the photos. The apartment door closed with a bang every time someone went out - when it is right next to your bed and it is late at night it gives you quite a startle. The bed looks strange. Why? Cause it is placed sideways. You would not be able to walk around it otherwise. Hence my son, who is 2m (6ft something) had half of his calves stretching out of the bed - he slept diagonally and I slept on whatever free shape he left for me. A "bathroom" has somehow been inserted within the boundaries of the room. Properly sitting on the toilet is not possible, the dimensions of the bathroom do not allow it (something like 70cm/200cm) you have to sit sideways and try not to break the rickety toilet seat. The shower is below any normal standard or sensation of cleanliness. We shared the room with numerous tiny ants and a prominent cockroach. Small pieces of trash have been left here and there as souvenirs from past visitors. This must have been somebody's living room, facing the noisy street with balcony windows, which the black curtains cannot fully block. It may have had a sink or a small kitchenette, but not this abomination of a bathroom. Or at least I cannot imagine this being planned in this manner. A very twisted attempt for riding the gentrification trends. I know they don't care about us ever returning, Alicante is bustling with needy tourists, but we felt violated and insulted. Such conditions should not be offered to anyone. The rest of apartment might have been alright. I will never know.
