Eigentlich nichts außer dem Joghurt zum Frühstück

Der Empfang (3 laut um uns herum kläffende Hunde, bevor man die Landlady zu Gesicht bekommt; kühler, unpersönlicher Empfang mit dem Hinweis, dass das Frühstück Self-Service und Continental ist - und das in einem Dorf in Wales!); vernachlässigte Gesamtanlage; die Terrasse des Zimmers laut Beschreibung entpuppte sich als die Eingangsveranda für alle; Mini-Badezimmer mit einem winzigen Eck-Waschbecken, wie man es sonst nur auf Toiletten findet. Daher kann man sich hier kein frisches Wasser für den Wasserkocher holen, weil der nicht unter den Hahn passt; billiges Bettzeug und weiche Matratze; liebloses kontinentales Frühstück: Wurst und Käse darf man sich mit einer schlecht funktionierenden Zange von einem im Kühlschrank mit Folie abgedeckten Teller nehmen, nur Marmeladen von Aldi.

The steep drive our rear wheel car didn’t like it !

It was quirky and clean. In the jungle room. Plenty of drinks, fridge, microwave. Bed was very comfortable 😴 shower was strong

We found the ensuite very tiny

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in einem altehrwürdigen Haus. Die Gastgeber (einschließlich des Vaters der Inhaber!) waren superfreundlichund haben schnell auf Fragen reagiert. Wir haben im schönen French Room übernachtet. Er ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat einen tollen Ausblick auf die Umgebung. Die Lage war ideal für unsere Zwecke (Besuch von Powis Castle, das ca. 20 Minuten entfernt liegt). Vielen Dank für die schöne Erfahrung.

The accommodation is in a great location for anyone walking Offa's Dyke as it sits on the Path. This is a large house that has character and some history. Charles Darwin stayed here. The room was a generous size and very comfy. The hosts were able to accommodate an early breakfast, and what was provided was plentiful and good, especially the homemade granola and yoghurt.

It was a bit awkward on the morning we left as the bathroom was in an adjacent room without natural light. The lighting in the house is linked to the Internet and initially did not work. The host did address this quite quickly and, whilst waiting, did offer another empty room to shower. Clearly, it would have been better if this hadn't happened in the first place.

Shower was small but manageable. Sink was tiny.

Clean and a very comfortable bed in a characterful room. Very helpful host. Enjoyable breakfast served on lovely china.

Breakfast was self help but acceptable. Evening meal off site was booked by hosts and was excellent.

Bathroom lights did not work Tried to fix but unusual set up. Both of us need to use bathroom facilities during the night this led to us disturbing each other. Long drive up steep dirt track caused car to do wheel spins on soft patches.
