Great host, cozy homestay, excellent value for money

There are rooms without AC, it was fine for us just make sure what you’re booking

very good for the price - has everything you need, good wifi, tasty breakfast, shower with decent pressure

sometimes there is a smell from the bathroom but as to expected in indonesia, can’t complain about anything else

The property was in a good location within a short motorbike ride to the town, beaches and sunset view points. The owner of the property was helpful and helped us rent bikes for the duration of the stay (although was a little pedantic and checked over the bikes every evening for scratches which was a little unnecessary in our opinion) The accommodation was cheap and breakfast was included for the duration of our stay. However, we only availed of breakfast once as it was the same breakfast (banana pancakes) every morning.

The room was dated but we were greeted with a bad smell which didn’t clear throughout the duration of our stay despite airing out the room. The bathroom was unclean and in need of a scrub as there was stuff clogging the drain and brown stains up and down the walls. We didn’t think it could get any worse until one evening when found MAGGOTS under our pillows and mattresses which was unpleasant to say the least. The owner did come and swept the room and helped us lift the mattresses, sweep away the maggots and redress the beds which we very much appreciated. However, we were left traumatised and safe to say didn’t sleep a wink with fear of the maggots as we could find the root cause and the owner thought there may be a dead mouse on the roof attracting them. The owner also offered to book us transport direct to our hotel in Ubud. This didn’t work out as planned and we ended up getting dropped off outside Ubud town and had to pay out of pocket for a Grab to our hotel which was not ideal.

It’s good for the price

They were no AC in the room, and it’s a bit small for 2 peoples
