Ropik & Alik Home Stay

Clean, comfortable room with good aircon. Good shower pressure. Bed is quite hard though.

Staff were rude and unwelcoming. I waited over an hour and a half alone in the dark for someone to unlock my room after I lost my key. Owner said he was on his way then stopped picking up my calls. One of the staff knocked on my door 3 seperate times at 7:30am. I opened the door to her in her pyjamas asking me when I would be checking out. I was also charged $15 AUD for the lost key. I expected a small fee but this price was unreasonable.

The property was exactly as described. It was basic but comfortable and close to the main stretch of Uluwatu. The staff were kind and friendly. Room was comfortable and spacious. Nice quiet area.

Could have used glasses or cups. But otherwise all good

Ropik and Alik Homestay is a great place to stay if you are looking for just the basics. It is in a quiet area very close to Uluwatu and you can easily walk to a few restaurants as well as a shop for supplies. Ropik is an excellent host and the staff are very helpful as well. I would happily go back there next time I go to Bali.

The water pressure in the basin was a bit slow at times but it wasn’t much of an issue for me.

I asked for a late check in and they said yes, but when we get there no one was waiting for us, we get into the room around 5am and then the owners want to make our check out at 5am too. I find some cockroaches at the barroom, we never got new towels or housekeeping. The owner was sending me messages to my personal phone number, that’s not ok
