Honestly the best place to stay, the house is very comfortable with amazing views of nature and the family is very welcoming and friendly. Absolutely my favorite place I stayed in my 2 months in Indonesia, I would live here forever if I could!

Quaint bungalow in a rural location, airy, light. Good wifi.

Outside toilet, cold water shower. No ac. No fridge. No kettle. Mosques close by, so not suitable if you like to sleep at night, constant loud calling to prayer.

Staying at this place immediately makes you feel like you’ve been adopted by the family running the homestay, in a good way! They were always super helpful and kind, even late at night. The banana pancakes for breakfast are really amazing and they have free coconuts and water available. The surfing lessons were a lot of fun and professional too! The rooms are really tidy and clean with good working AC and Wifi. There’s even a roof terrace to practice yoga or just to enjoy the view over the beach and mountains. I can recommend this to anyone searching for a cozy and wholesome place to stay at Medewi :)
