Adara Homestay

The staff was really friendly! We were able to book a day tour to Ijen, which we highly recommend. The facilities at the hotel were also very clean and the room was beautifully decorated.

Unfortunately the water in the shower was cold.

Trovo questo Homestay é veramente bellissimo, sia la parte comune che la magnifica stanza dove ho soggiornato. Tommy, che parla un’ottimo inglese, come il resto dello staff sono gentili, disponibili e molto accoglienti.

La moschea locale è molto vicina alla struttura e i momenti di preghiera risultano ad un volume piuttosto forte.

Casa excecional, tradicional, bem decorada e com quartos muito confortáveis. O Tommy foi um excelente anfitrião.

Alloggio molto bello e pulito. Il servizio un po' base (bisogna lavarsi i propri piatti anche quelli usati per la colazione servita dalla struttura), ma i consigli di Tommy sono stati fantastici per un'esplorazione indimenticabile di Banyuwangi e dell'area anche in assenza di Ijen (purtroppo chiuso).

Posizione molto vicina alla stazione, probabilmente comoda come base per l'Ijen meno per l'esplorazione della città. Buona la possibilità di affittare motorini nelle vicinanze (senza impossibile).

The room was nice and spacious and had air conditioning. The staff was very nice even with all the inconveniences.

When we tried to take a shower there was NO HOT WATER! We talked to the staff and they told us that since it was the CHEAPEST room we had NO RIGHT to hot water. We checked the Booking reservation and it did not specify anything (I would have paid more if I had known this). We spoke with the person in charge and he told us that Booking did not allow him to make this differentiation in the service description, however, we were the ones who suffered the consequences. Another point to take into account is NOISE. When we arrived we saw some earplugs in the bedside tables and soon we discovered why...there is a mosque 100 meters away with huge loudspeakers that sound at 5 a.m during 30 minuts, making it impossible to sleep! In addition, we booked this hotel only for the purpose of going to the Ijen and we had arranged the tour with the hotel itself. However, when we were there we were told that the access to the Ijen had been closed for security reasons. We would have appreciated to be notified earlier to go directly to our next destination, Ubud, instead of wasting 2 days on the road, this point was quite disgusting.

La struttura è tranquilla e rispecchia le aspettative. La stanza è spaziosa e pulita, bisogna sapere che il bagno è all’aperto sempre all’interno della stanza. Lo staff ci ha prelevato direttamente alla stazione dei treni gratuitamente (si trova circa 5-10 minuti dalla struttura). Il personale offre inoltre la possibilità di effettuare escursioni, purtroppo Ijen era chiuso durante una sua soggiorno per cui non abbiamo potuto effettuarlo.

La colazione non è stata di nostro gradimento (se non per un ricco piatto di frutta), bisogna lavare i propri piatti dopo averli utilizzati.
