Golden Stay

Near to varkala helipad. Prime location.

No facility of drinking water. Poor room Condition. Broken beds.

The location was extremely near to the Varkala Cliff which made it easier for us to just walk there. The owner of the homestay was good. Since I was traveling with my parents, he was sweet enough to offer us to show around Varkala in his car. We went to Jatayu Earth's Center, Kapil Beach, Janardhanswamy Temple and he dropped us at the cliff for dinner. I would definitely book the property again whenever I am visiting Varkala.

The room was enough for two people but since I was with my family and we were three people, it got a little congested. Since, we were traveling for only one night, we adjusted somehow. The owner did provide us with a foldable bed, mattress, pillow and bedsheets but that was not comfortable at all. Also, at night, there was heavy rainfall because of which there was power cut. There was no power backup and for almost an hour, we had to be in the dark and it was really uncomfortable.

walkway to the room not good

asked to come in the small gate which is not acceptable when there is big gate

I loved the way the owner behaved with us. The place is close to the cliff as well.

Basic water should have been provided. We had to purchase bottles every time we wanted drinking water.
