Malakar Home stay

Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean. This place is close to supermarkets, shopping malls, good connectivity, decent wifi speed, hospitality is good.

Nothing to dislike about this place but I just want to warn you they have a pet dog and sometimes it won't be on a leach. Be cautious and its bit aggressive.

Good and supportive services. Feel is like live at home. Nice we will visit once again 🤠

Peaceful nature

The owner and caretaker were very friendly and helped me plan the next day of my trip by giving me very helpful advice. The room is very comfortable. Overall good but just a few things.

There were a few huge bugs and lizards in the bathroom. The caretaker asked me for a tip before a left, I thought that was a bit weird since I had paid for the room + service charges and stayed only 1 night. The checkout at 8 am is a bit too early.

They provide you breakfast in packing , may be they buy from the hotel and you have to serve by your own and clean your dishes.

Rude attitude while leaving

I booked a room with breakfast, which was not possible as I was leaving early (6:30 am), therefore I got a discount on the reservation. The room was cleanish. As often, only the bed sheet underneath was available.

I chose the facility for closeness to the airport. It is located in a residential area that does not offer much option for eating or a stroll.

the owner was friendly, the aircon was good, great value for money. caught up on some washing, we used their washing line. the owner dropped us off at the ferry for a reasonable fee. restaurants and shops close by with a big supermarket 1km away on main road.

its a bit out of the way but you can walk there from the airport. if you taking a ferry or doing shopping in port blair its far away.
