No Flowers Boutique Hostel

Little slice of paradise in the remote hilly villages away from kunming city. Facilities were as advertised and rooms were beautifully decorated. Hot water was strong which is important in winter. Good for family or team bonding getaways. Owner was very friendly and helped arrange free airport shuttle.

Great if you are looking for a remote escape since it is not near the city. Additionally, the main access road has been cut off due to expansion of the airport and we had to get in by a bumpy construction road. Didi drivers may also have a slightly hard time navigating the tight village roads to find the place. Do get the owner to arrange for their own experienced drivers to fetch you to and from your destination and all will be fine.

Cozy and comfortable! Nicholas is an owner so kind, really! He helps us with everything. If u need something just ask him 😆.

The hotel organized a free airport transfer (even though we were leaving at 5 am). They speak great English at the hotel, easy to communicate. They also upgraded our room, which was lovely. The territory is both cute and cozy, and the surroundings are tranquil.

the property had good facilities, nice room and pool (although it was too cold to swim)

I wasn’t aware that there were major works going on to expand the Kunming International Airport. DiDis won’t come to get you because the road is so rough and dirty. The hotel offers free “taxis” (one of the hotel staff driving you) but if you are an independent traveller like myself, you don’t want to be constantly calling or texting the owner for a taxi to come and get you. You may want to stay up late. You also may not know where you are in Kunming to return to the hotel, so giving your location to the manager may be hard. This was really isolating. I wish I had done more research to see that the construction was going on, as I had budgeted being so far out of the CBD, but in the end due to the construction it turned out being not cost effective at all.

There are several fantastic restaurants nearby, making dining options both convenient and delightful. Mr. Nicholas, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and friendly. His fluent English made communication effortless, and he was always ready to share tips about the area. Additionally, the free shuttle service from the airport was a great bonus, making my arrival and departure smooth and hassle-free. Overall, this hotel offers a wonderful experience that combines exceptional design, a prime location, and outstanding hospitality. I can’t wait to return!

The breakfast; it was both delicious and nutritious! However, it would be great if the menu changed every couple of days. With a longer stay, I would love the chance to sample a wider variety of Kunming breakfast dishes.

Very convenient location for early morning or late night flights especially, just 15mins away. Hotel even provides free transport to and from the airport which was a huge bonus. Room is delightful & spacious. Hotel is in a quaint little village which was interesting to walk around.

Hotel is not easily accessible as there’s a lot of construction near it, but not an issue with the free transport from airport.
