Great scenic location. Delicious breakfast.

Lovely location with the possibility of going for walks and a dip in the water nearby. Lots of flowers around. The family provided clear transportation information and kept in touch via WhatsApp. Breakfast was very filling, and there was the possibility of getting lunch and dinner too. There was a little porch with 2 chairs to sit outside and read.

There was only cold water in the shower. Two of the meals (dinner and lunch the next day) was just a pot of rice with some small vegetable pieces mixed in. I would have be nice to have a side dish to accompany the rice to make it more filling.

Beautiful house, surrounded by lush green plantation, a waterfall nearby as a huge bonus, delicious breakfast prepared at home, great company, did star gazing on 31st Dec, best way to usher in the new year, don't expect anything like a hotel, its a homestay where the owners take personal care of your needs, going an extra mile to make you comfortable, to top it all it was really enchanting to know about the history of the house, over-all an amazing experience, except that we wished we could have stayed longer

The family at Thoppil Homestay are wonderful and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. All 3 of our traveling party had fallen ill with upset stomachs before we arrived, and they cared for us with delicious meals and hot drinks. The location is peaceful and away from the hustle of Munnar town and the main road. It's a really peaceful place to read a book at the end of a long day sightseeing. The homemade Keralan food was truly delicious, plentiful, and good value. Would absolutely recommend.

There was nothing we didn't like, the family and property exceeded expectations.

Hi, My and my in laws stayed in the homestay for 5 nights between Christmas to new year 2024. We had a wonderful experience. Excellent hospitality and experience. One of the best value for money stays we had even during peak holiday season. They even had a washing machine and a maid to help us wash and dry our clothes. The room was spacious enough and the first floor has a nice balcony with wonderful mountain view. There is a nearby waterfall and not much water due to non monsoon season. They provided complimentary breakfast and we also ordered dinner in one of those days. In one of the days they helped us washing the car too. If you plan to go for relaxation without much travel then there is no better place than this. Overall the travel was excellent for us. Nearby the stay, not many restaurants, and you may have to plan it in homestay itself. There is a bit steep road when reaching the property, so please be watchful in the night time.

Only bit of downside the location it is bit 20kms away from Munnar town. If you want to visit the sites everyday near the Munnar town, you have to spend additional ~20 mins(one way) everyday compared if you stay near Anachal area.

The family was very welcoming and the food and breakfast was super delicious and very homely. I will definitely recommend to stay at Thoppil homestay. Their Pet dog will guide you to the waterfall area. It’s very peaceful.

The family were so welcoming and helpful and the food was great. It’s a really peaceful and beautiful location and you can swim in the nearby waterfall.

Facilities are basic but you have everything you need. Also be aware it’s about a 40 minute drive from Munnar town.

Host family were very welcoming and kind. Looked after us extremely well. The location was perfect for a family with young kids.. quiet safe street, large garden, beautiful waterfall where you could swim 100m from the property. The kids especially loved Bhutto the dog, and collecting spices from the garden. Neesha’s home cooking was delicious. Family even went out of the way to give us boiled water every day as we were trying to avoid buying lots of plastic bottles.

A great stay, only advice if the facilities were upgraded slightly to have curtains that blocked the sun, and hot water from the shower head would be a 10.
