Single use towels

The property is managed by a family that is very kind.

The property is kinda remote and there is nothing around it. Once you reach the property you basically have to be there so make sure you pack enough food with you.

The breakfast was great, and the hosts were incredibly hospitable. The room was clean in the visible spots (our baby found the non visible ones sadly), and the bed was quite spacious.

There were no towels (after we asked, we we're given disposable face towels), and it took more than 30 minutes for hot water to even start (again, after saying so).

Beautiful location in midst of tea plantations. Wonderful owners, very kind and helpful despite not speaking any English (language app very much necessary:-). Simple but very clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Sightseeing place

No heating (at january the room is quite cold). Room is extremely simple. No hand or body towels, just big disposable towels. Value for the room is extremely poor.

The B&B has their own sunrise viewing platform where you can watch the sun rising above Alishan and tea fields, just by walking out of your room. Nearby is a mountain (大風埕觀日峰, 30-40 minute steep hike) which has a 360-degree view of mountains and tea fields. However, I found the view from the B&B terrace more immersive. The owners went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay and were so nice. Although my knowledge of the language is near zero and the owners do not speak English, they put in the highest possible effort to communicate everything and help me arrange the details of my stay including transport. The staff even taught me how to use a very convenient translation app (useful for my further travels in Taiwan) and we had an enjoyable chat. The room had a kettle, wifi, was very clean and the Hello Kitty theme was kind of fun. I liked the home-style breakfast.

The pricing could be more affordable.

30 minutes to Fenqihu Old Street and 1 1/2-2 hours to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. The B&B is quite and has a viewing platform for sunrise. Nice view of the mountains and the tea plantation. The room we stayed in was a Hello Kitty theme and we feel so comfortable and relax given the weather is 12-14 degrees. The room was very clean and nice. The staff are all friendly.

No bath towels.
