Tulou Herongzhuang Inn

I loved the authenticity of the building. To stay in a Tulou was so exciting. Alice has made the rooms really comfortable with all mod cons, aircon, shower etc but outside the room it's as it would have been when it was lived in by working families. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the main part of the pretty village so an easy stroll for dinner. Alice was a wonderful host and Jesse (her husband) was our fabulous driver and guide.

I loved everything.

Alice is a lovely host. She was so helpful. I had friends come along in the end but she had no more rooms. She helped me find two rooms at a neighbor's place. She speaks English.

Nothing.

아침은 따로 안먹었습니다. 전반적으로 숙소가 청결하고 인테리어도 아름답습니다. 엄청 오래된 고택임에도 리모델링이 잘 되어 있어요. 호텔 주인분은 영어를 구사하십니다. 아주 귀여운 고양이도 있어요.

탑하촌 자체가 작은 마을이라 대중교통만으로는 매우매우 오기 힘든데다 이곳 호텔은 탑하촌에서도 조금 걸어야 하는 위치입니다. 그점 잘 참고하셔야 합니다!

環境清幽，感受真正的土樓生活

Alice is a very welcoming host. She offered her assistance from the very beginning, finding cheap comfortable transportation from Xiamen, giving guidance to understand the Tulous and get local delicious food. The room is clean and modern, everything a traveler would need and more. Thank you Alice, unforgettable experience and overall a must for everyone traveling Fujian. Ps: Be aware the area is Unesco Heritage and a fee for tourists is required (aprox. 15$).

I liked everything

La autenticidad de vivir en un verdadero Tulou, con las familias locales, y adaptado a cierto nivel de confort (habitaciones muy cómodas, baño muy agradable). La amabilidad de Alice y Jesse, siempre queriendo ayudar y orientarnos con las actividades y visitas. Para llegar, nos vinieron a recoger a la estación de tren. Nos entendimos perfectamente en inglés. Nos presentaron a la gente del pueblo y todos fueron muy simpáticos. Sólo probamos los desayunos tradicionales, y los recomendamos. La última noche nos organizaron una barbacoa con comida local, fue genial.

El único fallo que le encontramos fue que el wifi no funcionaba todo el tiempo con nuestros iphones. Pero ha sido un detalle.

I liked my stay very much. Alice is a great host who helped me a lot, showing me the way to the bus, organizing transportation, etc. The hostel is located at the southern end of the village, offers simple accommodation, but everything is clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it!

Only maybe the fact that there are not many comfortable chairs to sit and relax outside the room.

The owner of the place, Alice, was very nice and helpful. She contacted me with What'sUp already several days before our stay and arranged us a driver with 7-seater car who picked us from the Nanjing railway station and drove us two days in different Nanjing and Yongding tulou areas. In the courtyard there was a cat that our boys liked to play with and feed.
