Chata Korenný vrch Pezinská Baba

A fantastic place, in a very quiet location. We were there during the off-season and were the only guests. In the evening, the deer come right up to the house.

It was probably because it was the off-season, but the breakfast selection was a bit limited. The prices were ok; as is usually the case here, the beer was very cheap.

The staff were so kind and helpful. Always smiling 😃 the place is lovely and warm and they have fabulous coffee and beers. The breakfast options were simple but tatsy and generous! This is located meters away from the entrance of a tall ski slope and ski rental equipment shop with helpful staff. The bus stop that brings you into a local town Pezinok is less than 5 mins walk and from there you can use trains or more buses to get around. Bratislava is about 45 mins or so away by bus and train. Buses can be found on the local bus app that gives live arrival times and you can tap to pay w debit card etc. We had a really nice stay here, really lovely and cosy and felt very welcome.

Getting a taxi was not really an option from the hotel out and about. We did go during winter, so the ground had ice might have been the reason taxis didnt want to come up? But luckily the bus services are great and got us where we wanted to go!
