Alma Homestay

The hosts, Reynolds and Eline, are incredibly friendly and caring. We had breakfasts and two dinners and all of them were delicious and heart-warming. Our booking includes a kitchen and a living room with a dining table, and it is located in a quiet corner where the only sounds are chirping of birds and insects :) Beach is only 10 min walk away! Go for swimming. Back water is 30 min away by bus! Go for a chill back water ride.

Watch out! Blackouts occur every day in this area, so the AC turned off several times during our stay. It didn’t cause much problem for us, however. The water in this area could be a bit muddy. But don’t worry it is nothing bad.

Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable, it feels more like an apartment then a room. The whole place is quite and chilled. It’s only 10 mins (max) walking to the beach. (Local) Home cooked breakfast is very delicious, and food is changing every day. Reynolds and Ellie are helpful and very welcoming, they both speak good English. Transfer to airport is available at a reasonable fare.

There is nothing to dislike

Perfect location, easy to walk to the beach. Exceptionally clean. The breakfasts were delicious and I had a freshly squeezed fruit juice every morning along with traditional Indian food for breakfast, it was yummy. Reynolds, who is a taxi driver, is very knowledgable and tells you about the places you are driving through. Reynolds also organised some trips to see other parts of India. I met his wife and daughter too, who are so lovely, and I was made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Also Reynolds would take me into town if I needed to and he picked me up from the airport even when it was 3am in the morning. The house was exceptionally clean and I was made to feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this beautiful place to stay with a wonderful family. I will be back.

We were greatfull to be in Alma Homestay. A beautifull and peacefull place to make holidays. We enjoyed a good breakfast and the talk with the gentle owners. We will come back.

I like behaviour,,, property was also good ,,, whatever we needed within few seconds we got that ,,, nearest to the beach ,, really our trip was memorable
