Mugilu for families and couples only

Being surrounded by jungle. Comfy bed, hard (in true Indian fashion) but just right for us. The food was varied and wonderfully flavoured - they've got a treasure of a cook. The hosts Chandan and Sapna were warm and welcoming and very helpful. We loved the gecko catching flies on the balcony.

Maybe have extra pillows available. Otherwise, nothing to criticise!

The estate is made in the midst of a forest, and the owners Chandan and his wife have not made any major modifications that would spoil the natural look of the place. Place is serene, you wake up to hear the birds chirping, they have 4 dogs and these pretty much mind their own business and don't bother the guests at all. They are playful if you love to play with them. Keep in mind that this is a homestay and not a resort. The staff Anand and Guddu are extremely well mannered and they care genuinely for their guests. They went beyond to ensure we were comfortable and cooked food for one afternoon when we could not go out due to personal reasons. Food is simple and tasty. We went there to relax, and that was exactly what we did.

We had an amazing stay at Mugilu. We stayed for three nights and we were taken care of extremely well. The property is lush green and filled with coffee plants, trees and lots of birds. The owner, Chandan, and the caretaker Anand gave us a lot of information about the area and pointed us at activities to do nearby. There are also four friendly dogs that love to show you around. Last but not the least, the food was hot and delicious 😋

Because of the rainy season there were leeches on the walking area which had to be cleared off before walking into the room.
