Deneth Homestay

Nos encantó lo serviciales que fueron desde el primer momento. Preocupándose de tener internet, y de las horas de desayuno. Nos recibieron con té ☕️ por el frío. Los desayunos increíbles y abundantes. Tuvimos la suerte de ir a una ceremonia familiar y fue muy especial vivirlo. La habitación limpia.

La ubicación ya que al subir es mucho camino de tierra sin asfaltar y muy empinado. Muchos tuk tuk no querían subirnos. Para bajar andando bien, son unos 20m hacia el centro.

The shower has an electic socket and loose cable within the actual shower area. I felt this was extremely dangerous...proceed with caution!! Booking.com should look into this before someone gets electrocuted.

I had a very lovely homestay experience at Deneth. Located on a hill surrounding the Ella town center -- perfect to stay in good shape ;-) --, Deneth is the perfect spot if you are looking for a quiet place. You won't hear a noise from the city, which was what I was looking for. The hosts are just the smiliest people ever - the somehow limited English was not a problem - you always find a way to understand each other :-), and were very accommodating and always ready to help. They even gave me the Internet router directly so I had the best connection in my room. The room is very spacious and the breakfast very generous. Don't miss out Ella Siyapatha Hut Restaurant on the way down to Ella centre, amazing curries cooked in front of you in open air kitchen; was by far the best meal I've had in Sri Lanka!

Not very clean and had a rat in our room early on. Not the nicest stay we've been to.

The owners are an amazing local family, who doesn't speak English but have a huge heart and welcome us in the best way they can. The location is 2km uphill from the town, very quiet. You'll stay in a separate room from the house. Breakfast was superb!

Everything is great, super breakfasts, convenient location, a little on a hill, it will be difficult to get there on foot. There is a lot of greenery around. The hosts are friendly and good-natured, they gave us tea. A cool house to stay in.
