It was a very pleasant stay. The view is amazing, and personally I found the location nicer than being right in the city center. From there, you could really enjoy nature. However, that also meant there were quite a lot of natural sounds in the evening. To get into town, you either walk along the railway tracks which is fine, as the train passes very rarely and moves slowly or you can take an alternative route around, which takes a bit longer than 10 minutes.

The rooms are very basic and in need of renovation. However, this is also reflected in the pictures, and it didn’t bother me. Everything was clean, and the hospitality made up for a lot.

Serene and calm. Stunning views down valley. Lovely lady made and brought all the full board food with a smile. Delicious, plentiful food. Clean room with all that is needed.

Lieu très bien placé par rapport au centre, pour la chambre avec vue : c'était incroyable, grande terrasse privatisée avec levé du soleil. Merci aux hôtes pour leur accueil, leur conseils, le ptit déj était tres copieux. On a pu également assister à une méditation dans le temple attenant

This was a unique, peaceful, beautiful stay near Ella. The food prepared is delicious and plentiful and the best part of the stay is the incredible view over the mountains and the famous railway. We joined evening meditation at the monastery and were led kindly by one of the monks. The rooms are comfortable but basic - we had everything we needed and very comfortable beds. The location is perfect - it's a short walk to Ella down the railway track with an abundance of cafes, restaurants, etc. no more than 10 minutes away but tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend!
