Bella Ella

Chambre avec belle vue sur la vallée, très beau lever de soleil. Petite chambre, modeste, mais propre et fonctionnelle. De beaux oiseaux autour et animaux (écureuil géant), Hôte très gentil et disponible, bon petit déjeuner.

Chambre modeste donc il ne faut pas être trop maniaque, mais pour le prix dans ce coin là c'était très bien. Malheureusement un peu loin à pied du centre ville, mais en tuk tuk très rapide.

De vriendelijke host en het prachtige uitzicht vanaf het balkon van de accommodatie.

De trap naar boven is niet voor iedereen heel comfortabel.

Heerlijke plek! In Ella is het absoluut de moeite om een klein stukje van het hele drukke en commerciële centrum te verblijven. Deze plek is fantastisch gelegen met een prachtig zicht op de groene Ella heuvels en een kleine tuktuk rit of wandeling verwijderd van het centrum. Loku, de eigenaar was werkelijk een fantastische host die ons met alles hielp waar nodig en een heerlijk ontbijt en avondmaal voorzag. We vertrokken met een heel fijn gevoel en kunnen deze plek aan iedereen aanraden!

Nice & peaceful stay amidst the hills. The room had a wonderful view & everything we needed. Our host, prasanna was so kind - he hosted us for breakfast & dinner. He helped us with everything that we needed and almost made us feel part of his family, a very warm host indeed. The property has a slight uphill walk in order to reach it, but there are more pros about this stay which would compensate for the uphill walk.

The property was lovely, clean, comfortable and in a great location. The host was amazing and helped me with so much including transport onto the next part of my trip and what to do in Ella. One of the nicest homestays i’ve stayed in, would definitely recommend!

Very nice place in a great garden, with a lovely family! They advised us well about the things to do around Ella, took care of our tuktuk, and cooked us a delicious traditional rice and curry. Great local breakfast too! You will find a few restaurants 5 minutes walking around on main road, and Bella Ella can provide dinner and cooking classes on demand (we haven't tried here because we have done it a few days before). Above all, what we look for, when we are travelling abroad is to meet local people, speak with them and have an idea of how they live. Bella Ella is a great place for it! We took a lot of pleasure discussing with the owner. Finally the owner found a good driver to Kandy for us. We had a great trip via the jungle road with him. Our son has motion sickness ( bad luck in sri lanka 😀) and the driver was caring with him, giving him lime fruit to press under the nose. And you know what, it works!

Nothing special. We appreciated the place and the family. We loved the smile 😀 But whenever you decide to book this place, i just want to warn the customers that this a local place. You will see and hear local sounds which make Sri Lankan way of life: jungle trees, birds, monkeys, and tuktuks!! If you like walking and take time to go around, there are nice little roads all around. Going to Ella city center by feet takes at least 20 minutes via main road. There's traffic but it's ok, much less than other parts of the town!. Personnally we liked all of it but this has to be known.
