I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ask Homestay in Ella and it was fantastic experience..The owner of the property was very helpful. He makes videos for specific directions to get to some popular locations saving lot of time ..kamal was always asking , if I need anything..If you are looking for great,budget friendly place with friendly and knowledgeable host, Ask Homestay is the perfect choice ..Highly recommended

Everything good

The owner is available to serve his guests as well as he can. He goes out of his to offer guidance and advice when needed. He made a short video up to help guide people through a shorter route to Nine Arches Bridge. Food is prepared on request and the prices are excellent for home cooked meals. Tea and coffee are also offered at a liberal fee. The accommodation is simple but it has all that one requires. Value for money is unbeatable. Kamal is prepared to advise on routes or itineraries all over Sri Lanka. I was comfortable and thoroughly happy with my stay at at ASK HOMESTAY. My regret is that I was in Ella and at ASK HOMESTAY for too short a stay. Gandhi Panday Durban South Africa.

Lovely family! So accommodating and friendly. If you go you should definitely get their dinner, super delicious and good value for money too!

Location isn’t in Ella but is only a 45 min walk or bus ride or tuk tuk away so keep in mind if you want to be in central ella

This place is really affordable and the staff is really cool. We are really satisfied and plan to go again.

An exceptionally nice host. We arrived in Ella and he organised a tuktuk for us. We had a very tasty free black tea for breakfast. If we had any questions, we could contact him on WhatsApp at any time and he replied within a few minutes. We wanted to travel on to Yala National Park and as it is difficult for foreigners to understand the bus timetables, he helped us right to the end. He even contacted the bus company to help us further. We can highly recommend this accommodation!

From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly welcoming and offered us numerous tips on what to do and see in the area. One of his recommendations was visiting the temple on the mountain, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views made it an unforgettable experience. The accommodation itself was excellent, especially for the price. It had everything we needed, including hot water, which was a bonus after a chilly day of exploring. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided great value for money. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. If you're looking for a great, budget-friendly place with a friendly and knowledgeable host, ASk Homestay is the perfect choice.
