Hoàng Quân Homestay

The owner is very, very nice. We ate at the property, and the food was gerat, but for quite a bit more expensive than what you'd find elsewhere in Vietnam.

The beds were very hard, but this didn't bother us.

Beautiful shiny wooden house, the people are very lovely and helpful with everything. Great boattrip! The food was very tasteful and abundant and we even did some karaoke ;-) great price for this value!

The family were exceptionally kind to me. I had two lovely days, both organised and guided by my host. The first was a wonderful trip by boat on the lake and the second a day hiking to a cave and a waterfall. The area is beautiful. The food was abundant and excellent - a real treat at the end of the day. Staying here and exploring with your host is a great way of making a connection with the local people - invitations to share tea and rice wine were frequent!

A couple of things to bear in mind. Firstly, it is worth arranging a taxi for the last part of the trip, as buses do not run as far as the homestay. Secondly, it can be very cold in the winter and these properties have very little insulation, so make sure you have adequate warm clothing.

a beautiful stilt house with lacquered wooden floors and walls run by an incredibly friendly family. A big shared balcony with great views where very nice food can be enjoyed tops it off. Everything was clean and the bed had a mosquito net.
