Lovely location. Great Sri Lankan breakfast. The fans in the room kept us cool. The staff kindly drove us to The Heritance for a wedding, as tuk tuks were harder to find. We were lucky enough to see a wild elephant!

Minimal phone service, no wifi

This is the best place if you want to be at peace.With No wifi you can enjoy the natural surroundings after a hectic day of sightseeing

Owner is a very friendly person and very helpful. Make a real effort to make his guests stay a comfortable and plesent one

We liked the location of the resort. It felt like we were in the jungle, with all the different birdsongs and small creatures that visit the property. There are a lot of fruit trees and medicinal plants, and our host took the time to explain the various plants and their healing power. Mohinde also explained the local village life as the opportunity arise. For example, the field close by was harvesting the rice and he explained the process and pointed out the machinery that drove past the resort. Our host’s undivided attention to his guests are really rare these days and much appreciated. Attentive and yet not intrusive. The home cooked meals are very tasty and healthy. Breakfast was different everyday. And on the day of our departure, he suggested a time to take the bus to avoid the rush hour and this helped a great deal for a comfortable journey to Kandy. All in all, a very pleasant four day stay in Dambulla.
