Aladdin Homestay

We were in gili air at the busiest week of the busiest month. Aladdin was in the centre but very quiet because the laneways don't fit horses. It is comfortable. We were in room e with a new air conditioner, no bugs. The homestay gets an 8 because of Daus, his sister Wana and his wife Siti. They did anything they could to help us.. even running and getting blue flowers for herbal tea at night. Breakfast is good, unlimited coffee, safety deposit box in the room, free water refill. They care about plastic here and are so willing to share culture. A great reason to be in a homestay and not a resort.

The laneway was dark at night. The rooms could be repainted white and outdoor furniture installed, would make a big difference.

Posizione ottima. Staff gentile e disponibile. Ottima colazione. Struttura basic ma coerente col prezzo.

Para empezar, este alojamiento tiene una puntuación y unas reseñas que están totalmente alejadas de la realidad. Lo único en lo que creo que todos coincidiremos es que en la familia que lo regenta es maravillosa, educada y muy servicial. Te reciben con café o zumo, además de tener posibilidad de tomar café o té gratis cuando quieras. Nos han ayudado en todo momento e incluso entendieron que hiciésemos el check out antes de lo previsto. Por eso me da pena tener que poner este comentario pero lo cierto es que son lo único bueno del homestay.

Todo. Las habitaciones son muy, muy básicas que si tienes poco presupuesto pues no está mal, pero en agosto (temporada alta) tampoco el precio estaba tirado para lo que ofrecen. Pero la realidad es que está sucio, por dentro se cae y el baño está totalmente alejado de lo que esperas encontrar. Hay cucarachas (normal porque el desagüe de la ducha es un agujero sin tapar en el suelo), el olor es horrible y falta un trozo de techo. Para nosotros lo peor fue el baño. La habitación era solo la cama con una mosquitera (sucia también) y unas puertas que no cerraban bien, por lo que oías todo lo que pasa alrededor. Por supuesto, también entra todo ya que al volver un día tuvimos un hormiguero enorme que salía de un enchufe. Consideramos que sería importante una reforma o mejoras básicas en las instalaciones. Por supuesto no hay agua caliente ( en un comentario leí que no había en toda la isla y no es verdad). Está reseña me he pensado mucho cómo redactarla pero la verdad es que espero ayudar o por lo menos no engañar a próximos huéspedes.

Tiene aire acondicionado y almuerzo.

No me gustó el baño. No tiene agua caliente, huele bastant mal por la humedad, y se ve sucio.

Good breakfast and welcoming staff.

To be honest we didn't understand the good reviews. When we arrived the place was dirty, there were cockroaches inside the bathroom as it had no real roof. We are a young couple that usually settles for everything, but this place was really not it. It was so expensive for what it actually was, and it makes me sad to leave this review as I'm not trying to play with a family's income, nonetheless, you should be aware of these things, as I wish I had booked something just the slightest bit more expensive and would have gotten a much better place. I think people leave good reviews because of the family's hospitality, however, we were hugely let down with the stay, as reading the reviews we didn't expect this.

Dask et sa femme était absolument incroyable, c’était super de passé quelques jour avec eux. Le breakfast est parfait et la location de vélo et de masque aussi !

La douche était un peu mal entretenue

De ligging is perfect. Lekker centraal op het eiland. We hebben onze was laten doen en dat ging ook goed. Er hing een goed muggennet om het bed heen. Bij aankomst kregen we een drankje aangeboden.

De douche heeft helaas geen warm water (al gezien in andere reviews) en de badkamer zat vol met mieren en een incidentele kakkerlak. Ook was het bed vrij hard.

Great location, yummy breakfast , clean enough rooms and friendly hosts

Pretty outdated, no hot water.
