Gubeikou Great Wall Chengtaoxiaozhu Boutique Homestay

We had an absolutely wonderful two-night stay here with our two children. The homestay was spotless, very comfortable, and perfectly suited for families, with plenty of games and activities for kids — our children even ended up playing with the hosts’ children, which created some truly special memories. The hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. They helped us organize everything for our visit to the Great Wall, including an unforgettable hiking day ending directly at the homestay. They also assisted us with transportation, meals, and many practical details that made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. A special mention goes to the food: breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all absolutely outstanding — generous, homemade, and delicious, prepared by the host, who is clearly a fantastic cook. We even had the chance to cook together and share great moments playing foosball and table tennis. The location itself is also incredible: a beautiful and well-preserved part of the Great Wall area, far from the overcrowded tourist spots. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely kind, making us feel completely at home. The host was fantastic, and the man of the house is an amazing cook. We truly loved the food! We also received excellent information about visiting the Great Wall, which helped us have an unforgettable and truly fantastic day. On top of that, we spent an afternoon and evening in Gubei Water Town, which also a nicel experience. Overall, this was an outstanding stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic experience!

One small point for improvement: the rooms were already very clean upon arrival, but they were not serviced during our stay. This was a minor detail and did not affect our experience.

La disponibilità della famiglia in tutto per tutto. Sembra di essere in famiglia...mangiare buonissimo. Posizione fantastica a 5 minuti a piedi dalla muraglia. Super consigliato

В доме Анжелы мы провели одни из лучших своих дней в Китае (несмотря на то, что в это время было сильнейшее наводнение). Огромное спасибо Анжеле за ее помощь и отзывчивость. Она прекрасно говорит по-английски, ее муж - через приложение на смартфоне. После того, как водный город отменил нашу бронь из-за затопления, мы решили вернуться к Анжеле. Мы прекрасно погуляли по всем находящимся в пешей доступности частям Великой Китайской стены (дома у Анжелы есть прекрасный план о том, как куда можно добраться). В городе (у ворот в храм) есть потрясающий магазин с фруктами и где можно купить детские подгузники. Муж Анжелы готовит просто божественно и очень помогает всем гостям. Рекомендую обязательно заказывать завтрак, обед и ужин у них. Тогда у вас будет настоящий гастрономический тур! Кровать в номере просто ОГРОМНАЯ. Я никогда таких не видел. Вся семья Анжелы очень бережно относились к нашей полуторогодовалой малышке. Спасибо вам огромное. Если я решу купить дом в Китае, то обязательно буду жить рядом с Анжелой, чтобы иметь возможность стать другом ее семьи.

The family is a wonderful host with amazing food, very spacious and clean rooms and perfect location for the Wall-Entrance. A perfect place to relax, to hike and to enjoy the scenery and nature. Very highly recommended!
