Really clean and tidy location! Host is really helpfull and I felt like home. Good location close to the beach and the centre. The price is really cheap for what you get! I would definitely stay again.

Convenient location, very near the beach for walking and not far from the beach for swimming. We had very clean and nice rooms with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to come again.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at Jaya Homestay! We were welcomed with open arms and always greeted with a smile. Our room was super spacious and very comfortable- mosquito nets were also provided, which was a big plus for me. We had a tuktuk and there was no problems parking it safely behind the gate which they assisted us in opening and closing which they didn't have to. Overall a beautiful stay, highly recommend ☺️

Maybe the bathroom could have been slightly cleaner but it wasn't a big deal!

First of all this is a favorable price offer. It's really cheap, so you cannot expect a 4* hotel. The host lady was very nice and hospitable. No troubles, very helpful. Good English, too. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfy. No unwanted bugs anywhere. There is a mosquito net above the bed, but it was not 100% effective. The location is very comfortable - close to the bus station and close to the beach front. There is the apartment, a 1 shared bathroom (for 3 apartments) and a common area with tv, sofas and tables. It's all located on the first floor. There are also two shared balconies, one for leisure located from the road side, and one more "technical" from the other side, where you can dry your clothes after washing them. There were furniture pieces (a desk, a standing hanger, a cupboard and a cabinet with big mirror) which were good to have. All in all it is a sensible budget option. Our stay was really good, if only not for the heat and mosquitos.

We picked the room with a fan (no A/C) and it was hard to stand the heat, even though it's February. Our mistake, I guess. The fan was simply not enough on the "2" setting and because it's not well balanced, if you turn it to max "3", it starts to bounce as it's going to fall off the ceiling. So, you better pick the room with A/C. There were plenty of mosquitos, so the electric anti-mosquito thingy is a must. Even though the offer says "private bathroom", it is shared between 3 apartments. There is also no way to close the bathroom window (some iron bars make it impossible) so it is full of mosquitos all the time. There is no door to the balcony from the room, so it is a bit dysfunctional (other guests might sit there, just next to your window). The cupboard lacked any hangers.

Great value and nice room here. We had the triple room which had the bathroom in the room everything we needed. You also have air conditioning and mosquito nets provided.

I suggest this place to everyone. It's in a quiet spot but still close to everything, with good restaurants nearby. The host is really great, and it was my favorite place to stay in Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful stay! The room and facilities were much better than the pictures plus the location is much better than most of the other guest houses since it is located halfway between the town and the beach meaning you can easily get supplies for your stay. More importantly the host Nishani and her family are wonderful, warm people and I am very happy to support them and not a huge hotel chain.

Interesting location, between the beach and the bus station. Hotel well mantained, confortable room. Nice stuff. I liked this place
