Sea sound cabana & Restaurant

Incredibly good value for the accommodation – yes, it’s a bit basic, no air-conditioning, and it is a fan, (and it was rather hot when we were there – ) but it had a lovely balcony with a hammock, lovely to sit out and listen to the wildlife. Home cooked Sri Lankan food by mother – very tasty and authentic, and we didn’t eat elsewhere in Tangalle. Samira’s brother took us to the beach and we were fortunate enough to see an enormous turtle – a definite highlight, and we did leave a tip for this additional service.

It’s hard to criticize for £10 a night – a small refrigerator, or a kettle in the room would’ve been a nice touch.

You get what you pay for. The rate is excellent so any negative thoughts seem a little churlish. The grounds are beautiful and each lodge seems to have plant cover for privacy. Our room was large but ineffective as it had two huge beds back to back and no room to sit,other than outside. The shower was adequate and even provided hot water. There were two floor fans which needed to be on all night, so ear plugs a necessity. Lighting was just about adequate, especially if one didn't want clarity in a mirror.The manager was most pleasant and owned a useful tuk tuk. The bird life,water monitor lizards,peacocks and monkeys in the garden were worth the room rate. The proximity to the beach couldn't have been better but waves and shelving made the idea of swimming a little daunting. The two meals we did have were wonderfully cooked by the mother of the manager.Hot water delivered on a tray for us to make our own tea was much appreciated. Proximity to some other restaurants ideal, especially the best food we had, served by smiling cooks at Turtle vibe seafood.

The so called restaurant was disappointing . Although we asked for a soft drink on day1 ( which they didn't have) ,nothing was bought in for the rest of the stay, water was plentiful and fruit juice mouth watering. Food for dinner had to be ordered several hours before and breakfast chosen the night before. The room was cramped with two large beds. No fresh or even humid air entered in 5 days. The terrace was useful but extremely uncomfortable (chairs) The lighting on the terrace was almost non existent ( head torches useful) should say we had first chalet on the left after the restaurant.other rooms may be better. Couldn't keep the sheets on the mattress as the moved every time we did. Need to be bigger or fitted.

Bungalow simple mais confortable avec une terrasse bien agréable,, situé à 5 min d'une plage très calme . Le soir, lorsque c'est la saison, les tortues viennent pondre sur cette plage. Le personnel est charmant et très aidant. Je recommande si vous aimez loger à l'écart de la ville dans une ambiance Nature.

Nous avions adoré le lieu de l’hôtel, proche de la mer, dans un endroit paisible, avec des belles chambres et un petit balcon avec hamac (très agréable), la balade le soir avec Malik pour chercher les tortues reste une expérience génial, s’y connaît très bien, discute avec vous et comprends bien l’anglais c’est très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et bon.

Il n’y a pas de climatisation dans la chambre donc un peu chaud, mais ça reste supportable. Pas de gel douche, shampooing dans la salle de bain. Et chambre assez sombre mais dans l’ensemble je dirais que c’est quand même très bien.

Camera molto grande con due letti matrimoniali comodissimi, bella veranda. Vicinanza alla spiaggia per andare a vedere le Tartarughe che di sera vanno a deporre le uova. Ci ha accompagnati Malik, ragazzo simpaticissimo. Buone le colazioni. Ottimo rapporto qualita' /prezzo. Molti rustorantini nelle vicinanze. Possibilita' noleggio scooter. Samire puo' organizzare trasporto con Tuk Tuk. Grazie ragazzi siamo stati molto bene.

Tolle Unterkunft, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, Mega leckeres Essen, Riesen Portionen! Es ist etwas abseits gelegen und es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber Ventilatoren , die die Nächte erträglich machen.

Le logement est très spacieux, avec une terrasse agréable. Il est très bien situé proche de la plage à pieds. Le propriétaire est très serviable et très attentionné. Il nous a donné de bons conseils et nous a aidés à organiser nos activités. Il a réservé des sorties pour nous et à géré les tuk tuk. Et surtout, la cuisine proposée était DELICIEUSE! Sa maman est une excellente cuisinière.Je recommande vivement

Le logement est un peu excentré mais la ville est accessible en tuk tuk.
