Wild Window - Forest View Homestay

I loved my stay here! Shanty made me amazing food, and really made me feel like i was home and safe. They helped me organazing my trip, and they also had a cute dog named Max and two cats named Tom and Tim. The room was nice too, and the balcony was lovely. I watched and listened to the animals both nights of my stay. Very calm and peaceful. If you’re a nature lover this place would be perfect for you.

The location of this home stay is great and unique in Thekkady as it's touching the forest edge. As many guests mentioned we could see some animals like sambar deer, wild boar, porcupine, langur monkey, etc,.. When we were there we saw Sambar deer 🫎from the balcony at night, I booked this property exactly for this and I got what I wanted. Paisa wasool!!! :) 😀 Host Jeorge Jacob is excellent. He helped me organize my very tight schedule trip of Thekkady. I called him several times to get clarification on the activities and book the slot. He took personal effort to book many activities there like Kalari and Kathakali shows, Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari for which he took personal effort to visit the elephant safari place and help me get the best of experience. Lastly i must appreciate his effort to arrange my birthday cake. It was my Birthday and the cake was delicious. Thank you Jeorge for the cake and your wishes Any information we want he was the go to person. After Thekkady we went to Vagamon and the day we were returning back to Bangalore there was bunbh or strike called by political party for some local issue and I was informed by some of the Vagamon locals to either take the Thrissur route which was longer or leave very early in the morning so that we don't get stuck in any protest or blockage. I was confused about what to do and then I called Jeorge to check with him what the situation was and what I must do. He recommended us not to get worried, the protest will not affect us as we are tourists and our car was Bangalore registration. Also he recommended to visit Paranthupara hill view point while on the way back. We did exactly what he suggested and we had an excellent day visiting Paranthupara early in the morning and a safe drive back. We didn't face any trouble. Thank you very very much Jeorge.
