Villa Mata Hari

We stayed for 8 days and Steve and Lia made us so welcome and looked after us so well. They can arrange everything! We loved the home cooked meal options and the restaurant suggestions and day trip suggestions. This is a peaceful location with great views across the forest to the coast. Steve and Lia moved us to a much bigger room as we were staying for a while and because we were staying during a major festival there was some party noise from neighbours. The bigger room was away from the road and sheltered from the noise. This was very much appreciated by us. Staying with Steve and Lia is a home stay experience but also we were left to our own devices. The villa is huge so each guest has thier own space. If you are looking for a quiet and rural spot this for you. The inclusive breakfasts were brilliant and filled us up for the full day ahead.

De locatie is prachtig, weg van alle drukte in een oase van rust. De woning overtreft al je verwachtingen. Het is schoon, ruim, groot zwembad met voldoende plekken waar je kan ontspannen en de tuin is perfect onderhouden. 10/10

This is such a quaint place - it is unbelievable how beautiful it is. The pictures definitely don't do it justice. Steve and Lia were wonderful hosts and their five dogs and two cats are adorable! Though it is technically a homestay, the property is massive and you could not have more privacy. Highly recommend.

The only negative was that we could only stay two nights!

We had a wonderful time here. The villa is really well kept and so clean. You can tell that a lot of love and thought has gone into this place. It’s a great spot for sightseeing, short drive to Lovina and Aling Aling waterfall. The host is full of suggestions so you don’t even need to have your own itinerary. We really enjoyed ourselves! They have quite a few dogs which for us was a massive bonus. We will be back!

Nous avons eu la chance de découvrir cet endroit fabuleux digne d’un 6 étoiles. Une vue panoramique sur la jungle et l’océan tellement incroyable et apaisant que l’on aimerait y rester tout une vie. Cet endroit dégage une positivité et une relaxation d’esprit. Une piscine débordante, une villa et une chambre vue sur l’océan et la piscine nous ont laissé sans voix à un prix très correct. Comment décrire cet endroit sans vous parler de l’âme cet établissement, la propriétaire des lieux, LIA, un rayon de soleil, d’une bonté, qui chouchoute ses clients et les font sentir comme à la maison. Un grand merci à son mari, aussi gentil. Ils nous ont permis de faire une excursion avec un bateau local et privé et nous ont donné les meilleurs adresses et les activités à découvrir. Une rencontre à jamais gravé.
