Homestay số 91-Suối Hồ Sa Pa

We were looking for somewhere a bit quieter outside of town, the location of the home stay definitely provides you that, but there are some considerations. The farmer next door loves to play very loud Vietnamese techno music during the day, this wasn’t a problem at night. There are a lot of dogs around and also some caged in the next door property, they are also noisy barking a lot. We stayed in the small cottage separate from the house, the sleeping setup was on a raised floor with 4 mattresses side by side which we enjoyed very much. The bathroom is quite basic but perfectly ok and enough hot water for everyone to have a quick shower. The main issue was the dust, the place needs a really good clean, under the raised floor of the beds for example, when kids drop things down behind the bed getting them out is no fun. It would be beneficial to have basic cutlery and bowls in the cottage as well as a small fridge. We ate breakfast there every morning but used old instant noodle containers for cereal. A few simple changes would make a good difference. The hosts were very responsive on messages, English is limited but that’s no issue. Pack warm clothes, the bedding is good but the construction is simple so when it’s cold you need to be warm inside as well.
