Brugge’s House of Friends

Staying at Brugge‘s House of Friends was a pleasure from beginning to end. We were greeted at the door in the most courteous and helpful manner and shown the lovely little room that had all the facilities needed for a week long stay. Situated just minutes from the city’s central market square the house is in the perfect location to start your daily sightseeing but is also pleasantly calm and quiet. Communication was uncomplicated and fast, requests were quickly fulfilled and we were thankful for tips about activities and hidden gems in and around Bruges. Coming home after a long sightseeing tour on Christmas Eve to discover a small present in front of our door was heartwarming. All in all the service was above and beyond and we will hopefully be able to come back in the future.

I just note that the mattress on one side is not great and that the curtains let the daylight and streetlight seep in, which is not optimal for sleep quality. Note also the stairs are extremely steep, not convenient with aged persons. The wifi did not work well but we were told it's going to be fixed.

Great location super comfortable.

Great location, confortable bed, warm room with nice amenities (stove, plates, mini fridge), very friendly hosts.

The curtains doesn't block sunlight so the room gets too bright, the stairs to get to the room are too narow it felt a adventure getting downstairs. And if you are tall the bathtub will be a problem.
