The Island Sanctuary - A Village Secret

Fantastic location. Ideal for those looking for a break from city hustle. Lots of greenery surrounding the almost-private pool. Rooms were spatious and comfortable.

A hand towel in the bathroom/toilet would have been great.

Rooms in the side by side apartments were spacious and comfortable. Staff - Alwyn and Sushil were very helpful and friendly. They helped arrange very good drivers for us. Breakfasts cooked by Alwyn and Sushil were very good and were made to suit our requests. E.g. - we bought Moira bananas and they cooked them for breakfast for us at our request. It has a treed, quiet environment around the accommodation with a good swimming pool to relax in after being out in the heat. Pool was bout 12 m in length and 1.5 m deep. We enjoyed using the 4 abailable bicycles for riding in the morning when it was cool and less traffic.

A little distance from ferries and eating areas but this was ok. Just used cars arranged by Alwyn.

I was surprised how good the accommodation was. It was in a very quiet location and the apartment was massive with all mod cons working perfectly. I used my 3 day visit to explore beach areas in north and south Goa, as the sanctuary is nicely inbetween.

I didn’t need anything else,

It’s clean well maintained and has a scenic lush green peaceful location

Only the pool is dirty because it’s outdoor with trees around so filtration doesn’t help to keep it clean so if owner can do something about that it would be perfect

The property is simply beautiful. It truly is a sanctuary paradise. Alwin and suhil made our stay amazing and really looked after us

Food choice is limited

Lovely large room, on two floors. Kitchenette and fridge. Huge comfortable bed, nice linen. Everything was spotlessly clean. Great shower. Efficient quiet AC. Beautifully kept garden - lots of birds to watch. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. The island makes a peaceful change from coastal Goa.

The steps in the pool need some attention but I’m sure the owner is aware of this. The bedroom curtains are flimsy and let light in, however the staff kindly turned the garden lights off at night for us. Otherwise it was all good.

Breakfast was good. Getting Tea from the staff was a bonus. The Staff Alwyn and Sushil were excellent with thier services. Sushil went out of way to help us often. we loved it there and will plan to travel again.

The Pool was good - but my kid found it very deep - he couldn't enjoy the pool much. Wish they had some pool floats or Pool tubes/rings for kids to enjoy in.
