Jungleview Home Stay

The place itself is nice

We have booked a room for one night. When we arrived, we were told that other guests booked for 2 nights stay, therefore they are staying longer and they have priority over our booking. So we haven't stayed there and we had to find a different accommodation in last minute. It's very unprofessional.

Beautiful place .. į can say amazing .that man was so kind and helpful and friendly . He can explain what you need . He help me when į miss my walet and money . He call me and send to by bus to other city .. ♥️🌺

Nazeer was really helpful - he gave us some useful advise about which of the eco-tourism activities we should try and book (we actually didn’t manage to book them all though as they were full - if you plan to book any then make sure you visit the ticket office as early as possible!). it’s also great you can easily get tea and coffee in the garden. The surrounding jungle is lovely and at night the sound of is incredible. It’s also great value for money!

The room is basic but I guess that’s expected for the price but it’s also not super clean.

This place has so much character in the way it is decorated and the fact it sits on the edge of the jungle. Daily visits from dozens of macaques. The furnishings are not bad. It was quite clean.

On arrival, the owner immediately told us our ground floor room (INR800) wasn’t available (we weren’t early) but there was a room on 2nd floor, for more money (INR1500). We felt very pressured into accepting, even though we much preferred the smaller room. This got us on a bad footing. We then witnessed the occupiers of our booked room return from a day out. It was 3pm and the owner demanded an extra half day’s rent. They were adamant that he had agreed to them leaving their things. Who knows who was right or wrong. Then the electricity cut out so we went out to find an alternative place to stay. Whilst out, we decided that if when we returned there was still no power, we would leave. The power (and WiFi) were back on so we stayed. We were glad we did because Jungle View (and the owner) has an uncomplicated, rough-edged charm. Shame that we felt that both us and the other guests had been played.

Check-in was super-easy. Mr. Nasser Babu is extremely helpful and flexible with any requirement of his guests. The place is very good value for money. Due to the damp weather the bed linen and towels felt cold and damp. Tea and coffee were available round the clock. Location is superb...it did feel like we were in the middle of the forest. We were lucky to spot the activities of a giant tailed Malaysian squirrel from close quarters.

The room felt a bit cramped

The place is located on the far end of town, which was great. A quite spot, surrounded with trees and plants, chilled vibe. It was nice to look at the monkeys performances from the balcony:) Nazeer the owner and shiboo his assistant, are very nice and welcoming. The closest restaurant is less than 10m walking so nothing too bad. I liked the narrow allies, allowing you to experience every day lives of local people.

The shower could have been cleaner, but wasn't too bad.
