Enormous rooms, right on the beach, nice pool.

Food was average, smelly bathroom, weird photo shoot taking place the whole time around the pool. Construction happening in the room next door and banging on my headboard at 8pm???

Even though I travel to Jepara for business, I usually stay near the beach, as it is nice for a relaxing and comfortable escape from traffic, etc. Coconut Lodge staff are friendly and efficient, and I especially enjoyed having breakfast and other meals available in the room, by the pool, or seaside.

Sometimes the noise of the children playing in the pool can be a distraction, but generally not a big concern.

Staff were nice.

The staff were nice and friendly but they were playing very loud music by the pool until 10 p.m. Our room faced the pool, and since there were no guests using the area, we were not sure who the music was for. We eventually had to ask them to turn it off. The hotel grounds were generally well maintained, though the property was starting to show its age. The buildings and rooms appeared to have been painted fairly recently, but housekeeping could have been better, especially in the bathroom, where there was quite a bit of hair left in the shower. Although the linens had clearly been laundered, they were overdue for replacement. The bedsheets were no longer white and instead looked gray, stained, and torn. The towels were also yellowed and threadbare. Since we had already prepaid and were only staying one night, we didn’t bother switching hotels, but if we had been staying longer, or if we return to Jepara, we would choose the newer hotel next door, which was only a couple of dollars more per night. We had dinner at its rooftop restaurant, and both the hotel grounds and rooms were beautiful.

Dommage la maintenance de l’établissement n’est pas à la hauteur de l’environnement. Surtout ne pas accepter de chambre en rez de chaussée, car votre nuit sera réglée en fonction des déplacements des hôtes du dessus. Très mauvaise insonorisation , nous avions les chambres 13 et 14……
