This is by far one of THE cleanest guest houses I have stayed in whilst traveling India. I was slightly apprehensive of the hygiene of sharing a bathroom with others however I was reassured by the presence of two ladies (owner and her assistant) keeping the place tidy. The guest house used to be an old family home (of the owner) and so it still carries the charm and feel of its previous incarnation. The owner is very helpful - I wasnt feeling very well during my stay and she directed me to hospital to get treated. In terms of the location this is ideally located right in the middle of it all. It's a few minutes walk away from the river Ghats of Panchavati and also the Kalaram temple. On a final note I would strongly recommend this place for foreign travelers new to India as the owner is fluent in English and good knowledge of the city and surroundings.

The central location means that it can be a bit noisy outside if you are trying to get an early night or have a lie in. A small inconvenience for the location.
