Good value for the price. Very clean and spacious for single traveller.

No lift and challenging if you hsbc heavy luggage. Slight challenge to locate the accommodation

This was a great room for the price, the proprietor was friendly and helpful, the location was close to the train station and the beach. I would definitely recommend The Locomotive Homestay to other travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, modest room in a good location at a great price!

No complaints at all.

Clean, modern and well designed, good amount of space, and located near the train station and food. (Tip: the Chinese chiropractor, not the massage parlour, just opposite, is very good). Cheaper than staying in central Taipei but connected by mrt (about 45 mins). Tamsui is a lovely place to be in - lovely coastal views (just 5 mins walk from the residence), great food options, much less crowded and noisy than central Taipei. Staff were helpful and prompt with their replies.

As with most Taiwanese hotels and homestays, the soundproofing isn't fantastic. But it's not horrible (I stayed at a hotel with worse soundproofing in Kaohsiung).

The room and toilet ( especially) Very clean. I feel great if the toilet is excellent clean. The room is super clean with no smell, and comfortable. The environment is quiet. The bed is good to sleep. Very convenient with walking distance to Tamsui walking street.
