Samson and the Lilo

The occommodation owners were lovely and welcoming. They helped us to explore the local area by advising us on the best local vineyards to visit, and they were even able to arrange for us to visit brilliant local wine producer at very short notice. They really made sure we had the best time!

Not a negative, but it's worth remembering that Vipava really is a beautiful, small, quiet village! (Meaning no supermarket, no big restaurants etc...)

Za gościnność Guya i Polony (i Doris) wystawiłbym 20/10. Na miejscu dostałem cały talerz owoców oraz ciastek, napój (w tym zimne piwo bezalko) na schłodzenie po całym dniu marszu z plecakiem w temperaturze 36 stopni oraz przesympatyczną, kilkugodzinną rozmowę. Pokój bardzo przestronny, prywatna kuchnia dobrze wyposażona (kawiarka elektryczna!), specyficzny wystrój (podłoga przypomina lastryko), ale bardzo klimatyczny. Łazienka też w porządku. W nocy cichutko, oprócz szumu wentylatora (który sam włączyłem na max, bo bym nie zasnął - noc tropikalna). Żałuję, że mogłem tam być tylko na jedną noc.

Dorys (adorable dog) and Guy warmly welcomed us for the checkin. The room is huge and has everything you need to have a pleasant stay: kitchen, private bathroom, books and even games so you can play while drinking the local wine. The space was clean and we loved the decoration. Myself, my husband and our dog would definitely come back!

The fact that we planned only one night stay. I wish we stayed longer :)

Samson and the Lilo offers exactly what it says on the website and more. We stayed there for one night, but both hosts, together with their dog, welcome guests like someone they've known for a while. This energy of theirs coincides with the wonderful place where the accommodation is located. The rooms in which you stay, with certain details, give the impression that the hosts have thought of all our needs while staying with them. And our dog was welcomed with treats and happy faces. We will be back, that's for sure.

It was such a great stay! The owners are super kind people and make sure that you will feel absoluteley comfortable and have everything you need. Also the village itself is super cute and worth the visit!

We came on a Wine Trip to discover Slovenian wines. Situated in a great location, close to several wineries (Vipava Valley) it also has quick access to various tourist spots. We did day trips (40 to 60 minutes) to Ljubljana, Montovun (Croatia), Piran, Predjama Castle… A super stylish 19th-century house, with lovely owners! They are pet-friendly and were very kind to our Giuseppe! Doris, their dog, is adorable and a great companion! They have parking at the back of the house, which is easily accessible and very convenient! There’s a kitchen in the room, which is helpful for those who need to prepare or heat up meals/breakfast! The owners left a basket in the room with fruits, eggs, wine, butter, and bread! Very kind and generous! Private bathroom with a wonderful shower, and high-quality amenities! Fascinating books to read in the room ;) Comfortable bed and a quiet place! We relaxed a lot!!!
