Cornmill House, With Outstanding Sea Views In Garlieston

The hosts were very welcoming.

The room had everything we could need and more. The hosts were very polite and helpful - great book of recommendations on arrival. Snacks and breakfast were provided. Great location - Galloway House Gardens is a 20 min walk away and it had some lovely coastal walks. Local pub was great!

Only issues, if you're noise/light sensitive - the bed was a bit lumpy (springs) and light shone into the room through the gap in the door (from the upstairs bathroom) in the night. The front door banged throughout the night with the wind.

Tris and Cassie were perfect hosts, both very friendly and chatty. They made us feel welcome and valued guests. Our accommodation was great, good size room with pretty much everything you would ever need. Trust and Cassie have gone above and way beyond to provide for all your needs whilst staying with them. Overall, excellent location at a very competitive price. I would highly recommend Cornmill House and we will definitely be returning ourselves next year.

Self-catering with a well-stocked larder and refrigerator.

It was like a studio with all furniture that you could want. I even found a bed laptable that was good for my computer. Very cosy with lots of food available for breakfast. Enjoyed the experience. It was like home from home. Storm Amy did not affect us at all.

Tris provided a wonderful array of self-serve breakfast foods including fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt coffee, tea, granola, etc. The room was cozy and clean. The shower was wonderful, and there were many things provided that a traveler might not have on hand. We had a great time reading through his guest book and even left our own little doodle! Tris was there to help with anything that might come up. By far, the best experience of our trip, and we'd happily stay again given the opportunity.

The only thing that was less than great was the humidity, but that certainly did not the fault of the property or hosts!
