Cosy double room in a seaside cottage

After a terrible day, when I had booked another place for the wrong dates and Expedia refused to refund any cent, thus making me walk a looong time with my heavy backpack, I finally found this place. I found more than just a bed and a shower, I found warmth generosity and kindness. I can't really thank Gosia and her husband enough. They definitely exceeded my expectations.

The property was lovely and located in a very quiet location. All we could hear were the birds in the morning. A scenic, quiet beach was just a few minutes away on foot. The hosts were very helpful and understanding, making sure we could access the property after our late arrival. Communication was excellent. Very nice touch leaving a bottle of water by the bed as well. Overall fantastic value for money.

The room was a bit small but all understable considering the price. Also because the bathroom is located just outside the room, near the common stairway, the sliding door could make a better seal to give a bit more privacy.

Not many amenities nearby.

This is not a "normal" B and B, nor is it a self catering cottage. It is a mixture of both which makes it very unusual. Our hosts Goshi and Fathy were incredibly welcoming and had no problem in allowing us to use the kitchen for breakfast and our evening meal. There is a table and chairs outside where we could have a glass of wine, eat and enjoy the garden. This is a real treat as the bedroom is very cosy with no room for the usual tea tray etc. There is use of a separate fridge and cupboard where cereals, bread. milk, orange juice, butter and jam were available. Guests have their own shower room on a landing just outside the room. The house is in a village not far from the coast and a short drive away from the Torpoint Ferry. Parking was available on the road outside.

Lovely couple. I didn't realise is was an air bnb I had booked. Modern home inside. Beautiful garden.

Not really by the sea, 10- 15 minute walk away.
