Japa House

Good location close to the center of Ubud. Room was clean, strong Wi-Fi, hot water, good AC. big breakfast and owner was really friendly and nice.

It would be nice to repair the walls in the room. Plaster and paint falling off in some places. Located next to the Temple so we could hear loud music from Fire Dance till midnight.

All excellent! very clean, great bed, perfect pillows, superb shower, great location, lovely breakfast, friendly staff! It ticks all the boxes! Rarely I give 10/10 but have given two in a row which says a lot about Ubud. they go above and beyond to make you welcome. Value for money is unbeatable and my favourite part was the outdoor balcony area where they serve breakfast. It overlooks a temple and you can watch the world go by, locals playing music and making things, it's so lovely Yes it can be noisy from 6.30am but at night it's quiet and actually it nice to be woken so none of the day is wasted It would have been nice to have access to hot water for coffee but I'm sure if you asked they'd sort something for you I'd have stayed longer if they wasn't booked

We LOVED our stay at Japa House. The family that owns Japa were incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. They made up our room daily, the bed was comfy, AC worked great, it was quiet to sleep and the shower was hot. The breakfast was amazing, they serve it on the balcony, which has a nice view. We were shocked at how much value there was considering the low price. We also rented a scooter from them to go visit some waterfalls in the area. The location was on a nice quiet street, but still close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants. When we were checking out to go to Sidemen, she offered for her husband to drive us, which was cheaper for us than taking a Grab, which was greatly appreciated! I cannot recommend Japa House enough!

I enjoyed my stay in Japa House. The WiFi was strong, the view from the balcony was amazing and the breakfasts - really tasty (you get 6 options). The staff was really nice! You can buy an excursion or book transfer here, the prices are good. Also on the corner of the street there's a good motor bike rental and many places to eat.

Great location near city center. Very clean. Friendly and attentive host.
