Gede Homestay

My two kids and I had a wonderful time at Gede. We loved the laid back Lovina lifestyle and being located on the beach. Ketut was a fantastic host and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Amazing sunsets, Aling Aling waterfall, hot springs, snorkelling and plenty more to do. We felt part of the community. We hope to return in the future.

Staff were so friendly and approachable. Location location. When dolphins watching and snorkelling fantastic. Food was so affordable and lovely. Well done will return.

Bathrooms could do with a facelift, a little old. But clean enough

From the moment I arrived here I knew i had found somewhere special LUCKY ME,! / iwas very surprised to see that the restaurant was only aboutthree meters from th beach. I spent a long time just gaxing at the sea. 1the restaurant has varied choice of dishes i highly recommend spagherri bolognaise pork steak and the burgers. Modestly priced and good quality. I actually contemplated retiring in this Utopian setting. Do youself a favour and enjoy my new favourite accommodation in Bali.

Once i met the host Ketut and his family i knew i would like everything. English is well spoken- by everyone,. Questions always answered willingly and accurately from local knowledge.

There was nnothing to like. The place was run down, there were many strange people who were not guests hanging around and the owner's son just sat in the restaurant and smoked.

It was very sad to see the place so run down and neglected. We were in one of their 'best' rooms and there were many minor things that needed repairing but had not been cared for. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were like slabs of concrete and the bathroom was smelly. We were meant to stay 2 nights bet left after one night. We asked for a refund and were refused.

Der Blick auf das Meer bei einer Tasse Kaffee oder einem leckeren Essen war perfekt. Man konnte hier sehr zu Ruhe kommen und der Besitzer ist äußerst nett, hilfsbereit und nicht aufdringlich. Wir konnten einen Roller leihen und uns wurde ein Fahrer zur nächsten Unterkunft organisiert. Das Zimmer hat ausreichend viel Platz und ein großes sauberes Badezimmer (nur der Klodeckel war locker :D)

Leider gibt es in der Umgebung ein paar aufdringliche Verkäufer, wenn man diesen aber ausweicht hat man hier einen tollen Aufenthalt.

We are just back from Lovina Beach and stayed at this wonderful home stay! We stayed in the deluxe and the room was huge, very clean and airconditioned! Wifi was 100%! The restaurant is right on the beach and the owners can arrange Dolphin Watching, snorkeling and fishing. The owners Ketut and Iluh are wonderful, friendly hosts and go out of there way to make you welcome! Iluh cooked all our meals for the 2 days and the food was delicious and inexpensive! The location for the water sports is ideal and the soothing ambiance watching all the activities from the restaurant is a wonderful experience! They do not provide shampoo or soaps but they can be purchased from the many little shops surrounding the homestay! Very child friendly, although we were an elderly couple without children, we enjoyed watching another family’s children swimming in the very calm waters! Highly recommend this small family owned hotel!
