Sintya Homestay

The location is good for The Yoga Barn. There is a kitchen, but there was no gas to use the cooker. Great fridge and mini freeze for water (that is also available). It is quiet and away from the road.

No one was there when I checked out. There are steps to the accommodation so be mindful if you have heavy / lots of luggage. I did not feel very safe as a female on my own there. Great for people traveling together.

Screens on windows would be nice to not need air conditioning.

Basic room, basic facilities, friendly family, cheap price! I stayed for 3 weeks to be in close proximity to The Yoga Barn. It is only 3 houses down and across the road, super convenient. As there are two entrance points to The Yoga Barn, you can also walk through there to get to the other side where you’ll find restaurants, cafes, markets and monkey forest. In the room there was a cabinet with a lock and key, where you can store valuables. Plenty can fit in this. There is no soap included, so bring some with you as your future self will thank you when you’re able to freshen up after a long day of travelling!

The shower water was mostly only slightly warm, this was from only using the hot tap and keeping the cold tap completely off. A couple of occasions it was hot and a few times it was just cold. The only real downside was waking up in the middle of the night from a rooster next door. However this is not a reflection of the homestay itself.

The terrace, the location and the people were really nice! I had a good sleep!
