The area where it is located is rather run down and unappealing.

The room is basic but very comfortable. The owners are warm and we felt very at home here. Additionally, the owners are completely non intrusive, as such we had a full rest and felt very peaceful. Location, for us,.is wonderful; far enough away from the. (imo) overly touristic area around the lake, it close enough to have a walk there. The neighbourhood I would describe as local, which is very good. Several Kashmiri dhaba type eateries sporting kebabs, chicken and mutton delights; and a very good South Indian restaurant with tasty dosa.and idly for breakfast. Great sleeping, after 10pm very little noise at all and only the distant chorus of the Mosque in the mornings, which is a delight to wake to. arriving in Kashmir with my daughter, we were immediately put to comfort and rest amoung very good and mind people. A peaceful home for a peaceful traveller. Thankyou.

No real issue tbh but: no tv in room as stated, shower is a bucket wash (plenty of very hot water ☺️). Small things which actually make the stay more delightful.
