The City Escape Farmstay

The host Rohan was soopercool guy. He was very helpful. In fact he helped shift our rucksacks from parking and helped with food and beverage orders. The place is simply a heaven on earth. Highly recommended for a calm time to be spent away from city hustle.

Place was between the mountains..quiet n calm...no mobile and vehicle sounds, instead one can enjoy sounds of birds. Mr.Rohan prop of the place ,is a very nice gentlemen and supportive to the core. One can place food order with them and it's purely home made food n tasty. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay in shimla...bonfire arrangements r there with night city view and the prop provides us with a speaker to enjoy our customised music. Prop has a small garden around the stay, where u have apple,orange,pomo trees and many other plantations.

5 to 8 mts walk from the car parking is a tiny point to be mentioned , when it comes to writing review. I wouldnt say I didnt like it, instead its a opportunity to walk through village roads and little farms of shimla. When you consider all the other advantages , distance wouldn't be of much issue to be considered

Rohan is such a nice, adorable, caring, helpful and warm-hearted host. He helped us get a taxi when we were stuck in the rain, served us delicious and affordable breakfasts and dinners, provided us with anything that we needed and gave us great recommendations for hiking in Shimla. The apartment has an amazing mountain view and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, we had an awesome weekend getaway in Shimla thanks to Rohan's and his family's hospitality. If you want to spend a relaxing holiday in Shimla, Rohan's home is the best choice!

The toilet could have been better and the toilet window could have a curtain. It would have been better if the rooms are provided with provisions for heating so that we can escape from the freezing cold.

Stay was awesome and Service rendered by Mr Rohan was exceptional.

Our host Rohan was unbelievably helpful, the most helpful host I have ever encountered! He picked us up from where the bus dropped us, he took us to buy groceries, and he answered every query I had about transportation and the local area. The property is in a wonderfully peaceful location. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. The blankets were clearly new and extremely cosy. There was a cosy seating area in the common space. The kitchen was well equipped (although black pepper would be a good addition to the spices). The view from the toilet was beautiful!

There is no shower, it is a bucket bath. This is fine and the water was lovely and hot. It's a bit of a journey to get into the main town, you can take a public bus or a private minibus for 10 or 40 rupees. They leave regularly but they finish around 5 or 6pm so you'll need to arrange a taxi back if you're staying in town for the evening. Taxi was about 500 rupees (although if you're Indian it may well be cheaper!). Fine if you're a group but keep in mind if you're solo or on a tight budget.
