Colin was super friendly. Not intrusive at all. They have everything you need in the kitchen. Just bring your own food. Wifi works great. Bedding was all there and in good shape. Same goes for towels. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Pretty much all as advertised. Very convenient for day hiking in the area.

A quick tutorial or instructions on how the door lock works in the pre-arrival email. That's it.

I had booked The Snowchasers Lodge for 2 nights, October 11-13, 2024. I was not told beforehand of any limitation as to arrival time. I arrived shortly after midnight of Friday 11th. (There had been an accident on my way to Lincoln and traffic was delayed.) Colin, the landlord, had shared the code that I was supposed to use in order to open the door of the building. Regrettably, the code did not work, no matter how many times I tried. So I was forced to look for an alternative place to spend the night (or sleep in the car, not a good idea given that it was very cold outside). I ended up sleeping at the local Quality Inn, where I had to pay $413 for one night. (Could have been worse, since many hotels were full for the night, as it was a long weekend.) Next morning, Colin said the electronic door-opening system had failed that night. Not my fault, obviously. I knocked on the door repeatedly but nobody would hear me. I found out next morning that Colin is hearing impaired. Again, not my fault. It was very frustrating that no help was available that night, either from Booking.com or from Colin. I think that I should get some refund for all the inconvenience and at least for part of the $413 added unexpectedly to the cost of my trip. I don't mean to put all the responsibility on Colin the landlord or on Booking.com - after all, sometimes things may fail. But I don't feel that I should be the only one to suffer the consequences of such an incident.

The location is great for foliage watching and skiing.The place is very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. The dining space is spacious. Ample parking space. Good matresses.

The bathroom and toilet are not private. It is better suited for groups and not for couples. The room can't be locked.

Great spot to stay. Walking distance to everything in town. The rooms and common areas are spotless. The bunk room was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped and it was nice to have dinner at the main dining table and play the games they had available.
